This policy explains what ED VentGuide Pro collects, why, and how it is protected. We collect the minimum data needed to run an account-based educational service.
1. Data we collect
- Account data: name, email address, hashed password, role and status.
- Saved work: clinical cases you save (calculated weights, ventilator settings, blood-gas values you type in) — these are your teaching inputs, not patient records.
- Security logs: login events, masked email, IP address and user agent for abuse prevention.
- Aggregate diagnostics: anonymous error counters (no message text, no URLs, no clinical content).
Do not enter patient identifiers. The app has no field designed for them; entering them violates these Terms.
2. What we never do
- We do not sell or share your personal data with advertisers.
- We do not send your saved cases to third parties. AI calculation checks, when enabled, transmit only anonymous numeric values (e.g., pH, PaCO₂) to the configured AI provider — never names, identifiers, or free-text.
- Passwords are stored only as modern hashes; API keys are encrypted at rest.
3. Cookies and sessions
We use one essential session cookie to keep you signed in plus a theme preference in local storage. No advertising or tracking cookies exist.
4. Retention
Account data is kept while your account exists. Security logs are pruned on a rolling schedule. Deleting your account removes your personal data; aggregate counters cannot be traced back to you.
5. Your rights
You may request a copy or deletion of your account data at any time via the support contact listed in the Terms of Service.
